Remember, in 1992, when you played the ugliest side scrolling fighter you'd ever seen? Well, it's still here, and damn is it still ugly. Cannibal Ed has poisoned the population with his Atomic Food Products, and it's up to our boys to kick his Cajun buttocks back to Nawlens. Reaper is the ugly little brown pajama wearing psycho with exacto knives laced into his arms and legs. Guillotine is the poorly drawn large ape with a skull for a head and an IQ almost as low as the Backstreet Boys combined. The two will fight their way through the endless swarms of mutants with axes and machine guns, replenishing their health with those little midget-headed tuna (who needs to replenish health anyway? Doesn't this game have endless continues? Go figure). Featuring such exotic locales as Breakneck Cave and The Nationwide Midget Emporium, and a slew of whacked characters like Roadkill, the living auto disaster, or Mr. Mojo the human tourist trap/grass skirt wearing voodoo lord. So...the game is sadly lacking in all forms of beauty, it's still fun and you'll get a good laugh.

(Make sure to read the readme file for game instructions and setup. Be warned, if it doesn't run, sound won't work, it crashes, etc...I CANT help you..it's old...it runs better in DOS mode, that's all I can help you with.)

Looking back: I really should be ashamed of this bastard child, but there's a charm to it that just can't be beat. I'm happy my first game was something original, funny, and true to what Bloodlust is and always has been. Hell, I could have easily had a fangame listed here instead of Executioners, but we really thought we were making a professional quality game at the time. Boy were we wrong! When we end up making Executioners 2, the horror of this game will hopefully be unleashed upon the unsuspecting masses once again as they try to find more background story. Muahahaha.

Like all of our older games, Executioners works better using a DOS emulator. I've had the most luck with DOSBox

CODE: When starting the game from the command prompt, type: xcute hellbentdeathspew (now you can warp to the next level by pressing "w", bring out an axe by pressing "x", a machine gun by pressing "g", or food by pressing "f". Beware, too many objects on screen may cause crashes)
