(This is a work in progress. The paragraph below defines what we are aiming for and what we believe we can realistically accomplish. As features are added/cut, we will note them here. We are aiming for a 2007 release and the game will be 100% freeware). ___________________________________________________________ Timeslaughter II will be a high resolution one-on-one fighting game with several twisted combatants, finishing moves, huge multi-layered animating backgrounds, and cinematic intros/endings. New features are planned that were not seen in the first Timeslaughter such as RPG elements, item based abilities, and most significantly, a customization system. Our intent is to create a game that is extremely moddable. We want you to add your characters to our game. Or your artwork. Or your music. You will receive the tool sets we are constructing for Timeslaughter II. You will be able to swap out your own portraits for the defaults, or download portrait sets from websites. You will be able to choose the option within the game to display a specific set, or randomly choose from every set available. The same goes with music. Want to mix it up? Dump 10 properly named songs in the directory with your background and it can randomly choose one each time you play it. And what about backgrounds? Yes, you will receive our background toolset to add your own high resolution background that scrolls at varying speeds per layer and features animation on any one of them. But best of all, you can add in your own characters. You will have an easy to use visual tool that lets you position frames, set movement (and see it realtime), and define hit boxes and vulnerabilty with simple click and drag motions. You will have our cinematic tools to make an ending for your character. Best of all, any character you add will appear on our "flippable" selection screen so the fight possibilities are endless. There is also a definite possibility of netplay in this game.

1. Asylum (2043) Sydney, Australia - Weapon: Dislocated Plumbing Fixture- this mad bastard was the only one to survive the initial chaos of William Spade's time anomaly with his limbs intact (and two of them still bound tightly beneath his crazy-corset). He eventually returned to his own time, unsure of whether or not any of the events actually happened. He returned to his old hospital to liberate his "son" - a troll doll named Freud. As the doctors of the Strudenheim Institute prepared to transport him to the lower levels, they made a critical mistake. An orderly with a full bladder chained Asylum to the pipes on the wall and dashed to the little boy's room. Within minutes, Asylum had ripped the pipes right from the wall and proceeded to turn the madhouse into...well, a madhouse. Exposure to the distortions in the time stream have amplified Asylum's disorders. He now has multiple personal reality disorder, which allows him to manifest the people who live in his head - and it's a full house. 2. Roadkill (1986) St. Louis, Missouri - Weapon: Automobiles and Body Parts - Harlan Gummel was the worst barfly in all of St. Louis. He didn't even settle for just one bar per night. He'd hit every location trying to pick up "bodacious babes" which really meant any woman who would give him attention - all the while trying to keep control of the wheel. His drunken cruising eventually plowed him straight into a souvenir shop run by an American voodoo priest named Mr. Mojo. As Harlan cried desperately for help from the twisted debris of his sports car, he saw Mr. Mojo dig up a voodoo doll from the remains of his Mojo Kiosk. It looked exactly like Harlan. Mr. Mojo called to his guardian spirit, Mojumbo, and then rammed a tiny aluminum toy car repeatedly into the doll's face. Mojo spat one word... "roadkill." Harlan soon found that he was cursed. As most people are never hit by lightning and others are hit every year, Harlan is frequently run over by vehicles of any kind. The curse was meant to kill him, but something in Roadkill's blood just wouldn't allow him to die. That something? Atomic Beer. Cannibal Ed's first beverage product on the market, and the first to be loaded with mutagenic compounds. Harlan had consumed mass quantities of the stuff and now suffers endless torture due to his vice. In seeking a cure from Ed himself, Roadkill briefly found himself employed as an Atomic Foods thug. He used his own dismembered body parts to intimidate Ed's enemies but suffered a humiliating defeat to the Executioners. 3. Cannibal Ed Bujone (1992) "Nawlens, Weeziana" - Weapon: Rack & Rump (Meat Cleavers) - Cannibal Ed grew up in the deep south with his Cajun family but was tired of the muddy taste of what they called swampmeat. His father, an expert chef, put the art above everything, and had no problem when Ed served up his own mother for dinner. Dadda Bujone was sad, but could not deny the succulence of the meal. Ed decided to leave the swamps with his new discovery (namely that people taste damn good). Ed was warned that his appetites would not be accepted in the world outside, but he had a plan. He would start his own restaurant called "Chili Boy." It was a success. The combination of the ground up secret ingredient and his own special seasoning made his all-you-can-eat chili a Louisiana phenomenon. Soon he was approached by the Louisiana Nuclear Power Commission who wanted to back his menu on a national scale. They offered to push Chili Boy as a fast food franchise. Ed was soon disgustingly rich and bought out the LNPC, gaining control of its power plants. It only took a few years before his new corporation, Atomic Foods, had a monopoly on the entire food industry. He had everything a backwater illiterate could ever hope for, but the foundation of his happiness began to slip. The waste from his power plants was beginning to pile up and his recipes were getting old. He decided it was not his seasoning, but the meat itself that was bland, and quickly set into motion a plan that would combine the nuclear sludge and food products. He would feed his customers the tainted food products, sweetening the meat, customers would disappear, and then reappear - as sweetened meat served in a pleasant little cardboard box. It was an endless resource and had a nifty side effect. The horrible mutations of those that lived flocked to Ed as their messiah in an age of change. As we join Ed in 1992, Atomic Foods have transformed the United States into a mutant wasteland, but he has not yet met the Executioners. 4. Osberto (1350) Venice, Italy - Weapon: Ratchucks - Osberto is an old mercenary who, like many Italians at the time, is horribly infested with the bubonic plague that ravaged Europe and wiped out a nasty chunk of its population. He's not a pretty fellow, but he's got wits. He spent many years fighting against (and for) armies far away in Asia and learned quite a few skills during his exploits. He had been home for a decade, but home was now one giant cemetery. One night, masked looters began to raid Venice for the treasure left behind by its dead citizens, and Osberto's own house was looted. He stood up to protest but was rewarded with a steel heel to the jaw. Lying in a puddle, smelling his own rotting flesh as his daughter's corpse was being stripped of her jewelry, something sparked in him. He reached for two plague-infested dead rats and tied them together by the tail, creating a strange Oriental-inspired weapon. He made short work of the bandits, severing arteries with the oversized rodent teeth and infecting those who fled. Roberto's willpower has allowed him to outlast the fatal disease as he guards his home, and the withering effects on his figure have actually made him quite agile. Alone in a town of putrid corpses, Osberto hopes to overcome his malady. 5. Goltorix - (818 BC) The Bogs, Hibernia - Weapon: Sword and Shield - ????? 6. Shitman (2020) The Underground Wastes - Weapon: The Spork - His origins are unknown, but the prince of below has shown up in paranormal encounters (of the smelly kind) for centuries. Spade has chosen to seek out the brown crown in the year 2020, where he's got total control of the world's sewer systems. It is unknown whether he was ever human, because he seems to have demigod-like powers, such as the ability to mold dung into objects of varying mass, animate waste, and cause people to shit on command. But Shitman just hasn't been able to bring his decorating sense to the world above. Every time he brings them gifts of art, they are immediately flushed back down to him. He's had it - he's started incubating his Four Sporksmen of the Shitpocalypse deep within the anals of his foul kingdom. They are Fiber, Gum, Corn, and Tapeworm, and they will not hatch for many centuries. He knows the clean-freaks from above will try to stop his schemes, so he decides to use his portal piece to hunt down those that would harm his children and destroy them one by one. 7. Vernon Whitley (1958) Abilene, Texas - Weapon: Fireman's Axe - In the late 50s, an alarming series of brutal slayings began to cripple the small oil town. The M.O. was nothing short of bizarre. People were dying in the middle of burning buildings. No coroner's reports were needed to determine if they had died from the flames or smoke inhalation - the fact that they were hacked into tiny pieces was more than enough evidence for the coroner to label them homicides. The real puzzler, though, was that the location of the victims sometimes coincided with sections untouched by the blaze. If a murderer were burning the buildings to dispose of his crime scenes, wouldn't the fire start with the body? Police soon realized that the murders were being committed during the fires. He was never caught, but the man police labeled "The Fireman" is named Vernon Whitley. He is a man who kills for holy salvation. Not his though, for his victims. He walks proudly into the burning fires of hell before Satan's flames can claim their souls and he sends them to God. He gets a rush knowing how close he comes to the devil's hands and robs him of his prize. Vernon's face shows just how willing he is to volunteer himself to God's most dangerous task. 8. Lament (1854) - Wallachia, Romania - Weapon: Carving Knife - Lament is a Vlad the Impaler groupie. She was goth way before those mascara-clad freaks began invading our shopping mauls. But just like the kids of today, she's into carving up her arms and claiming it eases the pain of her pitiful existence. She's not that great of a speller though, so there are some typos permanently scared on her flesh. She wasn't ever able to tame a raven, so she bought a parrot, painted it black (thus causing it severe brain damage), and named it Poe. She longs for the opportunity to go back in time and pledge her servitude to Lord Vlad the Impaler, the original goth. She may just get her wish. She currently squats in Vlad's castle (though she is of English origins), trying to craft the spells needed to wake him from his sleep. In her studies, she calls to the great elder gods who exist in surreal dimensions parallel to our own and she is capable of summoning them to her side when needed. 9. The Executioners (3000) - Weapon: Reaper Unit & Multitask Weapon - Countless (ok, countable, but it will take a while) years after Cannibal Ed's Atomic Food Crisis, Guillotine exists in a world dominated by Ed. The timeline has been altered by Spade's meddling and now the Earth itself is gone - completely used up by Ed's ambitions. Once Guillotine had a partner named Reaper, but a key player in Ed's downfall was snatched away by the unstable timeline before she could kill the fiendish chef. Ed ambushed the Executioners while they were treating themselves to a fine meal and Reaper was eviscerated. Guillotine was unable to live without his partner, so he had him recreated as a hologram. It's not just a computer simulation, though, it actually uses Reaper's old DNA to simulate his old personality. Guillotine still prefers a nice battle-axe in combat, but his multitask weapon allows him to change weapon types with the press of a button. Government Project Executioners was originally formed as a high-powered task force to take down Ed's empire, and Guillotine, a hulking cyborg with the brain of an ape (an ape brain enhanced to match the intelligence of a six year old child), was one of its founding members. The Executioners kept fighting for over 1000 years, and Guillotine has seen most of his partners fall before Ed's mutant onslaught. 10. Bamabu - ??????????? Africa ?????? Pygmy ????? monkey hunter ??? claws ????? 11. ?????? - ????? Blasphemer ???????? Heretic ??????? Sacrilegious to the ?????? Son of Time ???
